Advice for travellers

Travelling with children

Pokhara is a child-friendly destination, notable for its lack of chaotic traffic and choking pollution that beleaguer Kathmandu.

The footpaths are usually level enough for strollers and restaurants are accommodating to families, many having highchairs and smaller portions plus familiar international dishes.

Boating on Phewa Tal can be fun; but though life jackets are supplied, the ability to swim should be a minimum requirement before setting out on the water.
