Welcome to Sant’Angelo & the South Coast
Tiny Sant’Angelo attracts a voguish crowd with its tucked-away boutiques, seafront restaurants and great beaches. Quiet lanes spill down the hill to fashionable Piazzetta Ottorino Troia, where sun-kissed locals sip Campari and soda and take in late-night summer music concerts. Keeping an eye on it all is the great hulking scoglio (rock), joined to the village by a sandbar sprinkled with fishing boats, beach umbrellas and bagnini (lifeguards).
Catch a brightly painted water taxi from the pier to the sandy Spiaggia dei Maronti or the intimate cove of Baia di Sorgeto.
