First drive along the coast of Eyjafjordur. Begin by stopping at Goðafoss, one of the most spectacular waterfalls in Iceland, on your way to Dettifoss and lake Mývatn. The lake was created by a large basaltic lava eruption 2300 years ago, and the surrounding landscape is dominated by volcanic landforms, including lava pillars and rootless vents. Stop at the hot spring area at Hverarönd in Námaskarð. Then it comes to one of the most powerful waterfall in Europe, Dettifoss. On the way back we come to the unique lava formations of Dimmuborgir which are among the most popular tourist attractions in the Myvatn area and also in Skútustaðagígar (pseudo crater area). Your last stop is in Eyjafjordur where you can see over the fjord to Akureyri.
Day 1: Reykjavik - Golden Circle - South CoastAfter a morning Reykjavik pickup, explore the famous Golden Circle, including the historical UNESCO-listed site of Thingvellir National Park, where Iceland’s first parliament was founded in 930 AD.Next, visit Geysir hot springs and magnificent Gullfoss waterfall, and continue to the beautiful south coast. Stop at the scenic Seljalandsfoss and Skogarfoss waterfalls, and finally, the unique black sand beach of Reynisfjara with Reynisdrangar peaks and basalt column cave.Afterwards, make your way to a your accommodation for the night, a country hotel in Vik area.Day 2: Vik - Skaftafell - Glacier Lagoon - HofnTravel along the south coast towards Skaftafell and Vatnajokull National Park. In Skaftafell, take a short glacier hike on one of the Vatnajokull outlet glaciers led by a skilled glacier guide. Then, drive to Jokulsarlon glacier lagoon, home to floating icebergs and occasional seals. Nearby is a black sand crystal beach usually filled with clear icebergs.Spend the evening and overnight in the town of Hofn.Day 3: Höfn - Egilsstadir - Hengifoss areaStart with a scenic drive along the coastline of the eastern fjords to Egilsstadir. Here, enjoy a short hike to the 419-feet (128-meter) Hengifoss waterfall, which gushes into a beautiful gorge.Afterward, check in at a cozy country hotel for the night.Day 4: Hengifoss area - Lake Myvatn - AkureyriStop at the stunning Dettifoss waterfall and then head to the Lake Myvatn area. Explore the volcanic Namaskard geothermal area to see its mud pools and visit Myvatn Nature Baths, where you have the opportunity to bathe in the hot spring pools or stroll around the area. The entrance fee to the baths is not included but can be added as an extra.Call at Hverfjall and Dimmuborgir to explore on foot, and drive toward Akureyri with a stop on route at Godafoss waterfall. Tonight, stay in a country hotel nearby Akureyri. Day 5: Akureyri - Eyjafjordur - West Iceland area (B)Explore the town of Akureyri and then take a 3-hour whale watching cruise in Eyjafjordur, looking for humpback whales and white-beaked dolphins, and trying some optional sea angling.Then, travel along the Trollaskagi peninsula and visit the quaint village of Siglufjorður before continuing to west Iceland for overnight.Day 6: West Iceland area - Deildartunguhver - Reykholt - ReykjavikToday, explore west Iceland, voted one of the best destinations for 2016 by Lonely Planet. Stop at Deildartunguhver and the Barnafoss waterfall and pause to see Hraunfossar, where the falls flow from beneath the lava field.Your final stop is at the historic site of Reykholt before you return to Reykjavik, where your tour concludes.

Sunday: Individual arrival in AkureyriDepending on your arrival, you can relax in the accommodation.. In the evening, we invite you to take a short city tour to get acquainted with your new hometown As an introduction to our time together we welcome you here in the North with a dinner in a retro restaurant in Akureyri.Monday : The power of sleddogsIn the morning we start out with a yoga session and after we will have a lunch in a retro restaurant. You have the opportunity to meet our charming huskies and have an experience of dogsledding, a lifetime experience. After the dogsledding & time spent with our huskies, we are going to soak in our SPA and relax in our swinging SPA lounges. Tuesday: Yoga in the mountains of the TrollsWe start the day with a yoga sequence and then we drive to the most beautiful valleys in the North: the Svarfaðadalur. We drive far into this world of mountains before we reach the old farm Skeið at the end of the valley. We snowshoe through the idyllic valley up to a small mountain lake. We might do some yoga or just enjoy the quietude amongst magnificent pyramid mountains. Back at the farm Skeid, our hostess Myriam welcomes us in her cozy renovated barn with a wonderful dinner.Wednesday: Yoga on hot groundIn the morning we start out with a yoga session After a lunch in town we experience the fantastic world within an active volcanic in M yvatn area with its hot springs and the steaming and bubbling mud pools. Our first stop is at Goðafoss. We explore the diverse landscapes on different short hikes: the pseudo craters of Skútustaðir, the mystical Lava towers in Dimmuborgir, the continental divide the geothermal area at Námaskarð. Then it's time to relax in the wonderful warm water of the Nature Baths. With clear skies and cold temperatures, we have a very good chance to experience the dance of the Northern Lights on our way back to AkureyriThursday: Yoga on the island - a powerful spot!In the morning we start out with a yoga session. We are going to have lunch at our retro café/restaurant in Akureyri.Then we drive along the west coast of Eyjafjörður to the north before we reach the Sævar ferry to reach the small island Hrísey. A short walk takes us to a spectacular view point. This place is considered as one of the most energetic spots in Iceland- a perfect location to rest and enjoy a yoga unit.Friday: A farewell with panoramaIn the morning we start out with a yoga session. After a warm soup we leave for a last snowshoe hike. We gradually gain height on the eastern shore of the fjord and then once again opens up a wide view over the Eyjarfjörður: a good point in time to say farewell to the North of Iceland.
Lake Mývatn and the surroundings is a must see while exploring the north. First, you will be driven along the coast of Eyjafjordur. Begin by stopping at Goðafoss waterfall on your way to Lake Mývatn. Also, visit Grjótagjá Rift, an old natural bathing spot filled with naturally heated water coming out of a rift. Stop at Selfoss waterfall and Dettifoss, one of the most powerful waterfalls in Europe.You will have the opportunity to take a bath in the geothermal water (at own expense). After the stop in the nature baths, you will be driven back to Akureyri. Your last stop is in Eyjafjordur where you can see over the fjord to Akureyri.
Make your way to Akureyri Airport 15 minutes before your flight, and then listen to a quick safety briefing before following your pilot into your GippsAero GA8 Airvan. Make yourself comfortable in one of the 7 luxurious seats, put on your headset and get ready to soar into the skies above Akureyri.Watch the busy urban sights of the city fade from your view through the large windows, and then turn your attention to the raw beauty of the Icelandic landscape stretched out around you. On this tour we will fly through the dramatic landscape of The Game of Thrones and Oblivion. The route starts by flying over the Godafoss waterfall, from there we will head to Lake Mývatn, with its numerous scenic attractions and geothermal phenomena. From Lake Mývatn we fly over Vatnajökull National Park to see Dettifoss, a spectacular waterfall where cascades plunge from a height of 144 feet (44 meters) into a narrow canyon.From the Dettifoss waterfall we follow the magnificent canyons, before turning homeward bound for Akureyri. Relax and take in the north-east coastline as the Troll Peninsula mountain range comes to view in the west.
