Hiking Kallurin Lighthouse with a local guide

The day begins in The town Klaksvík, which is the second biggest town in the Faroe Islands. In Klaksvík, you will take the ferry Sam to the island Kalsoy. Arriving in the village Syđradalur on Kalsoy, you can take the public bus or drive yourself to the northernmost village, Trøllanes. Arriving at Trøllanes, the local guide greets you welcome and the approx 1 hour hike to the lighthouse begins. Being a local, the guide knows many stories about the surroundings, and he is happy to share his knowledge to you, while he safely guides you to the lighthouse. Arriving at the lighthouse, you have good time to walk around by yourself, take pictures and enjoy all the nature and wildlife that surrounds you. When ready, you head back to the village, and the tourguide and you say goodbye to each other. Depending on how fast you walk, usually there is time to visit the village Mikladalur, which is right next to Trøllanes, and see the spectacular statue "sealwoman" before the ferry leaves back to Klaksvík.

Kallur Lighthouse - Whole Day Guided Tour From Tórshavn

Pick up at various destinations and hotels in the capital Tórshavn early morning. After pick up, it's a one hour drive from Tórshavn to Klaksvík which is located on the island Borðoy. we will enter a small ferry from Klaksvík to Syðradalur and the sailing time is approx. 20 minutes. arriving in Kalsoy, we will drive trough 5 narrow tunnels and 4 small villages until we are in Trøllanes. arriving in Trøllanes, the local farmer greets you, and you will walk with him for approx. one hour to the lighthouse. the hike is Easy/Medium arriving at the lighthouse, you will be greeted with a packed lunch and some drinks. you are now free to walk around exactly like you want, and enjoy the rich birdlife and beautiful surroundings. when it's time, you will back to the village were the bus waits you.  before entering the ship, the driver usually drives to the village Mikladalur, so you will get the opportunity to see the sealwoman also. back in Klaksvík we head farther north, to the village Viðareiði, were you will see the two islands Fugloy and Svínoy. Viðareiði is the northern most islands of the Faroe Islands. from Viðareiði the journey heads towards Kunoy and on the way there are two photostops, one is of a salmon farm, up close. Arriving in Kunoy you will get the opportunity to walk around as you like, take pictures etc. when the visit in Kunoy is finished we will all get back to the bus and head back towards Tórshavn. on the way back the busdriver usually makes a few Photostops. you will be dropped of right at your hotel or designated dropp-off point in the capital Tórshavn.
