La Tomatina Festival 3 Day

Day 1 Valencia Once you’re checked in, your guide will be taking you on an orientation walk of the gothic city of Valencia. Originally founded as a Roman town, Valencia is now the third largest city in Spain and home to some spectacular views, historical monuments and architecture. This will be a great opportunity to pick up some essentials for the food fight the following morning. For dinner, if you’re craving seafood, indulge in an authentic paella or perhaps enjoy some tapas and beers. Your guide will give you the option to view a flamenco show (at own cost), which is a great insight into folkloric traditional Spanish dance. Alternatively, you can enjoy free time to explore the many sights of Valencia.Day 2 Valencia to Bunol to ValenciaThe biggest food fight in the world begins with your transfer to the town of Bunol. Your guide will be on hand to assist with anything you may need during the morning. The festivities begin with the Palo Jabon, which is essentially a greased up pole topped with a Spanish Ham, which the brave (and silly!) attempt to retrieve. Once the ham has been knocked off its perch, the festival gets going, with trucks full of rotten tomatoes rolling through the streets for you to fight with. After the battle, jump in the river to get the red off you with the kind assistance of the locals. This afternoon we return to Valencia, for some free time to clean up and relax, before heading to the official La Tomatina after party, hosted on a rooftop bar in Valencia's Old Town, with your fellow tomato throwers!Day 3 ValenciaWe check-out after breakfast.

La Tomatina Festival

Ever have that dream where you're in a centuries-old town centre with a bunch of new friends when suddenly a giant food fight breaks out and you start to throw tomatoes at anyone and everyone? Well now's your opportunity to live it out loud. Seriously, this is one weird and wonderful experience you've got to see to believe. La Tomatina is one of the world's most unusual festivals in which people gather in the town square of Buñol to pelt each other with squashed tomatoes while trying to grab a leg of ham from the top of a greased pole. Read that again and then do this four-day adventure you'll talk about forever.
