Since 1963, this basement locale has been the stage for up-and-coming flamenco groups performing in Barcelona, with stars such as Antonio Gades and Maruja Garrido having graced the space. These days Tarantos is a mostly tourist-centric affair, with reliable half-hour shows three or four times nightly. Still, it's a good introduction to flamenco, and not a bad setting for drinks.
