Dark Tickle

Newfoundland & Labrador

Dark Tickle is a shop in the grand tradition of the Québécois économusée: a place that showcases a particular kind of heritage craft. In this case, it's the jam-making of Newfoundland and Labrador. You'll learn how the people of this province take northern fruit – bakeapple, crowberries, partridgeberries and more – and create preserves that would make an angel sigh.

On-site, you'll also find loads of gifts, souvenirs and artwork. The owners speak French, and the excellent Cafe Nymphe is located upstairs.
