CH Distillery

Top choice in Chicago

This slick tasting room has a cool, naturalistic look with exposed concrete posts and knotty wood beams across the ceiling. Slip into a seat at the bar and watch the silver tanks behind the big glass window distilling the organic vodka and gin that go into your creative cocktail.

It's relatively small inside, and stylish workmates and couples tend to linger over charcuterie and cheese plates, so you might want to book ahead. Tours (per person $15) are available Saturday at 5:30pm and include a vodka drink.

CH also makes aquavit, amaro, coffee liqueur and Malört (Chicago's indigenous liquor that's famous for tasting awful). Most of it is produced at CH's larger production facility in Pilsen.
