Tapas do Monte

Portugal

Small and intimate, this lovely restaurant is run by a friendly couple who have curated a small but well-thought-out menu of elevated tapas – loads of artisanal cheeses and charcuterie, bacon-rolled dates and so on – paired amicably with local wines. As it's back from the beach, it feels less touristy and the hospitality is palpable compared to elsewhere.
