Ledger Plaza Bissau

Top choice in Bissau

Bissau's most luxurious hotel, the Ledger (known to taxi drivers by its former name Lybia Hotel) is where politicians, businesspeople and the small expatriate community congregate – the latter primarily on Sundays for a day by the pool and a pricey buffet lunch (CFA20,000). It's efficiently designed with contemporary furnishings and rooms – even the small economy ones are comfortable.

The Ledger is a large, well-guarded complex 8km east of the airport. It's convenient for late-night arrivals and those who aren't interested in venturing out. A bar, two restaurants, and a bank with an ATM are on the premises.
