Saltwater Cafe

Rarotonga

This roadside eatery on the south coast at Titikaveka is a great place for lunch or a cold drink. The menu includes pad Thai and garlic prawns, and there's also cold beer and punchy tropical cocktails. The homemade cheesecake ($10) is excellent, and it’s a handy spot on Sundays when not much else is open.

The kitchen normally closes around 2.30pm, but coffee, cocktails and cakes are served until 6pm. If you're traversing the island by scooter, you've just reached the halfway point from Avarua.
