Akureyri Backpackers

Akureyri

Supremely placed in the town's heart, this backpackers has a chilled travellers' vibe and a popular bar. Rooms spread over three floors: four- to eight-bed dorms, plus private rooms (on the top floor). Minor gripe: there are toilets and sinks on all levels but showers are in the basement, as is the free sauna. There's a small kitchen and a laundry. Breakfast 1215kr.
