Mukbassa Central – Chez Youssouf

Top choice in Djibouti City

In business for ages, this Djibouti City icon is famous for one thing and one thing only: poisson yemenite (oven-baked fish). It's served with a chapati-like bread and a devilish mokbasa (purée of honey and either dates or banana). The colourful, wooden building feels a bit ramshackle, but that’s part of the experience. Dessert (pancakes) is extra (DFr400). No alcohol is served.
