Welcome to Maghera
On the northern coast of the Glencolumbcille peninsula, 9km west of Ardara, tiny Maghera has a stunning and wide, wide beach – one of the most beautiful in Ireland. If you follow the strand westward, you'll reach a rocky promontory full of caves (inaccessible at high tide). Time a visit for sunset to immerse yourself in the full magic of the beach. Note that dangerous currents make the ocean here unsuitable for swimming.
