Unesco-listed Manas National Park, home to rhinos, elephants, clouded leopards and the elusive Bengal tiger, is one of the least visited jungles in India, and thus preserves a lot of unadulterated primal charm. However, insurgency is rife in the area, and visiting without a licensed and experienced tour guide is not recommended. Network Travels has a good grasp of the forests, and can arrange an all-inclusive tour of the park.
Visitors tour the park by jeep, by raft or on elephant-back. However, we don't recommend this last option because of the harm that this can cause to the animals.
