Icelandic Museum of Rock 'n' Roll Admission Ticket

At the Icelandic Museum of Rock ‘n’ Roll guests can walk through the history of Icelandic pop and rock music throughout the years. Guests can dive deeper into the history of each artist and listen to their music with the help of the Rock ‘n’ Roll app on the iPad guests receive during the visit. Check out our 20 seat VIP cinema running documentaries all day about Icelandic music and don’t forget to check out our Sound Lab to try out some instruments and feel like a real rocker!  In the Rock 'n' Roll shop you will find memorabilia to take home. Keflavik Airport to Reykjanes Peninsula Half-Day, Layover Tour

We will start the day with a stop at Bridge Between Continents, the place where symbolic bridge connects American and European tectonic plates together. After taking some pictures, we will continue driving toward the coast line in the south, until we reach Reykjanesviti Lighthouse situated on a small hill. From there will make a 5 min. walk to Valahnúkur mountainwhich stands right next to the shore. It is known for it is appearance in Sigur Rós – Glósóli video clip. Near the mountain we will have stunning views of cooled down lava field (don’t worry it is from an eruption several thousand years ago) and black sand beach. Next stop is Gunnuhver mud pool, the biggest and of the most active geothermal mud pool in Iceland. It is so active that you can see the thick steam from it, reaching high up in the air. From there we will be heading to the main highlight of the tour, Krýsuvik/ Seltún Geothermal Area situated on the slope of the mountain. Impressively colored geothermal area with many different bubbling mud pools. You will feel like walking on another planet. After that we will drop you off at your accommodation in Reykjavik or back to Keflavik Int. Airport. Please note: This tour is only available in June, July and August.
