Konstanz
On the banks of the Rhine where it flows into Lake Constance, this delightfully old-school tavern has bags of character, with its vaulted interior and waterfront terrace. Classic German food such as veal goulash, Schweinebraten (regional pork roast with bread dumplings) and Kässpätzle (noodles topped with cheese and fried onions) marry well with the house brews and Lake Constance wines.
