Furneaux Museum

The East Coast

The grounds around the volunteer-run Furneaux Museum are strewn with whalebones, blubber pots and rusty ship propellers. Inside are Aboriginal artefacts (including beautiful shell necklaces), plus sealing, sailing and muttonbird industry relics, occupying buildings that include century-old prison cells. Cash only.
