Even if you don’t have a trip to Amsterdam planned you can now check out one of the Netherlands' most popular cultural institutions, the Rijksmuseum, on a virtual stroll.

People from all over the world can now see the collection of the Rijksmuseum – the Netherlands largest art museum and the most visited – as it has become the best represented museum in the Google Cultural Institute. The museum is home to famous pieces like the Milkmaid by Vermeer and Rembrandt’s The Night Watch, as well as thousands of other artefacts. Those pieces are now on digital display through the Google Cultural Institute website, which is designed to make cultural material widely available.
