Not many B&Bs welcome you with a 3m-high pink flamingo at reception, but then this is no ordinary slumber pad. Its six 'Art Rooms' are designed by renowned Italian and international artists, each inspired by local mythological figures. The remaining five rooms find their muse in the 18th-century's Grand Tour era. All are airy, with lofty ceilings, stylish bathrooms and excellent amenities.
Quality extends to the breakfast options, while the location is equally appealing, on the edge of Catania's colourful La Pescheria market and a short walk from Piazza del Duomo.
