Grand Café Fauchon

Paris

Long a fixture of place de la Madeleine, gourmet emporium Fauchon has its own boutique hotel and adjoining grand cafe. Glittering with mosaic tiles, terrazzo floors and a shimmering rose-tinted bar, with chairs upholstered in Fauchon's signature hot pink, it serves multicourse menus, and, from 5pm to 7pm, sharing plates (€10 to €15) such as pastry-encased pistachio pâté.

Vegetarian options are plentiful.
