Accessed by a 14km trek from Gangotri along the trail to Gaumukh is this utilitarian government-run dormitory that, with its far-flung frontier location, feels more like a military camp. Other than the few tented ashrams, this is pretty much your only option in Bhojwasa. Mixed-sex dorms comprise two large rooms packed with beds, or there are tents lined with single beds.
There's a restaurant serving vegetarian Indian dishes (₹100 to ₹300); don't leave your food around as you'll attract rodents. A bucket hot-water shower will set you back ₹100.
