A brick homestead turned cafe serving big breakfasts, including granola and fresh coffee (Tsh10,000); wraps, burgers and toasties for lunch (from Tsh5000); and pizza, fish and salads for dinner. Sit outside by the hibiscus bush on benches with bright fabric cushions. It has an excellent ethical craft shop and a small backyard campground (US$10), and owner Amelia organises a range of tours.
Amelia is a fount of knowledge on nearby sights and national parks, and arranges many safaris and other activities. At the time of research she was about to open a campsite in Kitulo Park.
