Above the co-owned family fishmonger, the 'Ocean Fish House' is quite possibly the best fish restaurant on the Black Sea coast (for flavour not for decor). As well as grilled or fried whole fish, a superb option is a panful of iskorpit (scorpion fish) fillets cooked as a kavurma, an utterly delicious reduction of peppers, tomato, garlic and ginger.
Internationally minded owner Mert Kanal is widely travelled, speaks great English and evidently proud of his all-female chefs, who are led by his mother. The rooftop terrace is a lovely place for a pre-prandial rakı at sundown.
