Gundagai Bakery

Southern NSW & The Murray

On the main street, this place claims to be the oldest working bakery in Australia. According to a sign out the front, German settler William Bibo built and opened the first bakery in 1864. He later became mayor of Gungadai, so his pies must have been pretty special. More than 150 years later, we're also big fans of Gungdai's savoury treats.
