Almost jungly and discerningly quiet, this resort feels nothing like most in the area. It attracts singles and families alike and takes appreciated steps to keep them separate where desired. Made-over standard rooms feature soft white and beige accents, an additional sitting area with sofa bed and sexy dual showers.
The 192 Reserve rooms feature lush courtyards, modern art, patios and Jacuzzi tubs for two. Both the large and winding main pool and the beach (full of day beds) are gorgeous, and the separate Royal Services pool feels like a Roman bath. Kids get a bungy swing and a climbing wall; adults, 12 restaurants and 12 bars, including the Winery, a cozy top-end wine bar, and Passion by Martín Berasategui, considered the country's top restaurant.
