Niagara Falls

Top choice in Fiordland & Southland

Located in a former Victorian schoolhouse, this excellent 'old-school' cafe puts the emphasis on local produce – free-range eggs, veggies from the garden, house-smoked salmon and spring water (fill your bottle). Chef Laura Thompson moonlights as coach of the NZ Paralympic cycling team – her gold, silver and bronze medals for riding as tandem bicycle pilot at London and Rio are casually displayed in the corner.

On a sunny day the beautiful garden is a great playground for kids. Over summer the cafe runs a Bluegrass Festival.
