Welcome to Isla San Cristóbal & Around
A half-hour away from Bocas town and you're in another world among the Ngöbe-Buglé indigenous community on Isla San Cristóbal. These subsistence farmers and fishers have a strong sense of their cultural identity, though they live mostly in difficult circumstances. There are some community tourism initiatives in their communities. To the south, Dolphin Bay is famous for sightings of dolphin pods. Beyond there is a lodging on another nearby island and a mainland restaurant accessed by boat.
