Guests at the Aman Tokyo can enjoy black afternoon tea in the lounge, which is located on the 33rd floor of the Otemachi building in Tokyo. Cocktails and champagne are accompanied by a selection of black-themed delicacies, including black crab and black sesame seed grissini.
The vast garden and lounge of the hotel is designed to resemble the inside of a traditional shoji paper lantern. Floor-to-ceiling windows offer amazing views of the Imperial Palace Gardens and the city’s lights below.
In the evening, head Barman Toshio Imai and his team serve 18 original and classic-with-a-twist black cocktails in the Black Bar. These include the Aman Black Espresso Martini, the Black Monday and the Black Rum Mojito.
Also available are premium black label whiskies, and six versions of black tea, as well as black-themed appetisers displayed on a custom black tea stand.
An a la carte menu with is also available at the hotel, with dishes such as a black tomato caprese salad, black polenta and dark chocolate mousse.
Guests who still can’t get enough of the dark colour can also order mini wagyu burgers served in black buns.
