Creative chocolate-lovers will be thrilled at the news that a pop-up KitKat Chocolatory is opening in London next week for five weeks.
Fans of the four-fingered Nestlé chocolate bar will be able to design their own customised bar at the store at Westfield Stratford City, complete with bespoke packaging.
The traditional KitKat is a much-loved chocolate wafer biscuit bar, and customers at the English store will be invited to make it dazzle by selecting their own preferred chocolate covering from milk, white or dark chocolate.
Then they will add up to three toppings from a list of 16 flavours to create their own personalised bar. Using a touch-screen, they will design their own bespoke packaging, and the bars will then be tailor-made onsite by chocolatiers. They will be ready to take home within the hour at a cost of £7.
Special edition KitKats will also be on offer in pre-created flavours, and these will cost £3.50 and will change on a weekly basis. The first week’s three mouthwatering offerings have already been revealed, and we’re salivating over the thought of sticky toffee popcorn, almond and salted caramel brittle, divine Black Forest, and salted caramel crème brûlée with Madagascan vanilla seeds.
Michelin-starred chef Michael O’Hare announced this week that he was thrilled to disclose his collaboration with KitKat. The chef, who runs The Man Behind The Curtain in Leeds, has created two signature edition chocolate bars that will only be available at the KitKat Chocolatory. His exotic flavours are chilli and mint, and dandelion and burdock.

The new London Chocolatory comes hot on the heels of the recently-opened one in Kuala Lumpar, Malaysia, and the store in Tokyo, which does sake-flavoured chocolate, is hugely popular. The London KitKat Chocolatory opens at The Street, Westfield Stratford City, on October 5th and will remain open for five weeks.
