Three miles from Helston, this riverside village at the western head of the Helford River is a sleepy spot, historically important as a trading point with easy access to both the Fal estuary and the inland mines. It's a boaty place these days, and on summer weekends it's busy with weekend sailors, but it's very quiet at other times. The main attraction here is the Seal Sanctuary just outside the village.
