Barkerville Historic Town

British Columbia

You can visit more than 125 restored heritage buildings in Barkerville Historic Town, which also has shops, cafes and a couple of B&Bs. In summer, people dressed in period garb roam through town and, if you can tune out the crowds, it feels more authentic than forced. At other times of the year, you can wander the town for free, but don't expect to find much open.
