Welcome to Vineyard Haven

Central Vineyard Haven (aka Tisbury) is just four or five blocks wide and about a half-mile long. Main St, dotted with galleries and boutiques, is the place to meander while looking for souvenirs or a place to pop in for a bite. Steamship Authority ferries dock at the end of Union St, a block from Main St. From the terminal, Water St leads to the infamous 'Five Corners' intersection: five roads come together and no one really has the right of way. Good luck.

Island Tour of Martha's Vineyard

Enjoy a two and a half hour bus tour of Martha's Vineyard, sightseeing the beautiful vistas and rolling landscapes lined with ancient stone walls. Connect the island's historic past to its present as you learn about Martha's Vineyard's incredible history. Experience both the "then" and "now" of the island with your local guide, and explore all of the rich history and culture that Martha's Vineyard has to offer with two options for exploring. On the Aquinnah Tour, depart from the Vineyard Haven boat terminal and stop in Aquinnah (formerly Gay Head) to see the majestic lighthouse and breathtaking views of the clay cliffs and Elizabeth Islands. Explore the variety of charming shops owned by locals and try a new cuisine. After your guided tour, return to the boat terminal to continue your day on the island. If the iconic Martha's Vineyard gingerbread cottages are more your style, opt for the Down Island Tours instead. Depart from the Boat Terminal and begin sightseeing the historical towns around Oak Bluffs. Enjoy a half hour walk through the amazing weslyan grove methodist campgrounds and see the gingerbread cottages dating back to the mid 1800s. After exploring this quaint section of the island, you'll return to the boat terminal to conclude. Whether you want to explore the cliffs and shops of Aquinnah or the gingerbread cottages in Oak Bluffs, this tour is sure to be a highlight of your time on Martha's Vineyard. Cold bottled water is available upon request, and all tours are wheelchair accessible.
