Val Verde Winery

West Texas

This family-owned winery was established in 1883, making it the state's oldest continually operating vintner. The winery rode out the dry years of Prohibition by making sacramental wine for church communions. Stop by for tours and tastings.

Val Verde is best known for its tawny port – discovering the vines growing so close to downtown is a delight.
