A short walk east of central Chikan are over half a dozen stalls serving Kaiping's speciality bāozifàn (煲仔饭): rice and meat or eel cooked directly in individual claypots, making for a distinctive crispy rice skin inside – and good street theatre. Ingredients are on display, too, so point at what you fancy. From Chikan bus terminus it's two stops on bus 6.
