Once a favourite of English royalty (Room 7 in the turret wing is where Queen Elizabeth II stayed in 1953), Leopard Rock is still the poshest place in the region. Don't expect five-star luxury, however: the appeal is more about its faded colonial charm. There are lounges with fireplaces and an outdoor terrace overlooking the famous golf course.
Even if you're not staying, it's a good spot to drop by for a meal, or a round of golf.
