Right on the Karhunkierros trail, this excellent wilderness lodge is a 1km walk from Juuma (5.5km by car). Rustic rooms smell of pine: larger rooms with sleeping lofts and charming forest-view balconies are great for families and groups. There’s no internet or kitchen facilities, but it has a convivial bar and restaurant (reserve for dinner), sauna and Jacuzzi.
Friendly staff organise all sorts of daily activities; rafting, fishing and snowshoe-walking among others. You can also hire skis, canoes, kayaks and more.
