Welcome to Pulau Sapi
The tiny sibling to Pulau Gaya, separated by a 200m channel, attracts huge loads of day-trippers to its lovely beach and can get overwhelmed on weekends. There are lifeguards keeping vigil on the beach, and clearly defined areas for swimming. Disgorged from your ferry, expect to see busy clouds of fish swirling in the turquoise waters. There are multiple things to do, including flopping on the fine sand and spotting monitor lizards (coralled behind a fenced area next to the main entrance. Don't feed them.).
