Now it is divided into four AOCs: Petit Chablis, Chablis, Chablis Premier Cru and, most prestigious of all, Chablis Grand Cru. North Burgundy and Chablis Wine Tasting Tour from Paris

You will meet your Sommelier in Paris. After a 2-hour ride in a air-conditioned van with a maximum of 8 people, you will arrive in the lovely village of Chablis. Your first wine-tasting takes place at a famous Chablis producer, where you will visit the caves, see the fermenting tanks, barrels, old vintage bottles, and finish with various wine tastings. You will then head to a typical village of Burgundy, where ancient grapes varieties are still grown. You will enjoy your second tasting during a wine,cheese and meet pairing lunch at a family-run producer.After lunch break, your sommelier will drive you through the vineyards area to another Burgundy appellations famous for its great Pinot Noir wines.  You will learn about french wine labels, "terroirs", Burgundy grapes varieties and also about the epic history of the Knights Templar and Cistercians monks. Burgundy Private Tour (2 Days)

DAY 1 The first  stop of this tour will be the gorgeous, historical town of Vézelay which is now very famous thanks to the numerous buildings it has. After that, the tour will continue with a visit of the Morvan region exploring the beautiful streets. It is now time to take a lunch break at a local restaurant. Pick up and transfer will be at 8am from a centrally located hotel (details will be sent prior to your departure) Then, you’ll be ready for your full day adventure in the beautiful countryside of Northern Burgundy.  Departing from Paris, the drive takes just over 2 hours. Throughout the tour your guide will delight in explaining the history, culture, food & wines of this fascinating region. Truffles thrive on the well-drained limestone soils of the region so on arrival we will go into the fields with the local « trufficulteur » and his dog where you will learn all about the art of « hunting » for these rare and delicious mushrooms. Afterwards we will return to his home where you will be treated to a tasting of the « black diamonds ». Next stop are the vineyards and quaint town of Chablis. Here you will visit a local wine maker where you will learn the secrets of producing these world-class white wines with commented tastings and an explanation of the different « terroirs » that make up this unique appellation ; a benchmark for producers of great Chardonnay wines from all over the world Lunch is a typically Burgundian affair and you will have the opportunity to sample some delicious local specialities washed down with a glass or two of the refreshing local wines.This afternoon will be your opportunity to discover the little-known wines of Irancy which produces some great red wines from the pinot noir and an ancient local varietal, the Cesar.
