On the south shore, you'll find several busy campgrounds for tent and RV camping, including Merrill, Aspen, Christie and Eagle Campgrounds. Most of them are fairly scrubby, considering how lovely the lake is, though there are some highly sought-after lakeside sites in Merrill.
