Shelburne dories (small wooden open boats used for fishing from a mother schooner) were the staple craft for Nova Scotian fishers on the Grand Banks fishery, thanks to their lightweight construction, shallow draft, durability and maneuverability. This fascinating workshop is one of the only places in the world that still makes them to order, and it has a collection of vintage craft.
