The southeastern tip of Dugi Otok is split in two by the deeply indented Telašćica Bay, dotted with five small islands and five even tinier islets. With superb, sheltered azure waters, it's one of the largest, most beautiful and least spoilt natural harbours in the Adriatic. Consequently, it’s very popular with yachties.
Veli Rat & Punta Bjanca
Veli Rat is a pretty village with a marina on a sheltered bay close to the northwestern point of Dugi Otok. Aside from a solitary store-bar, there's not a lot here. However, if you continue for 3km towards the tip of the island you'll reach the striking, west-facing Punta Bjanca lighthouse, perfect for taking in a sunset.
