Les Galets

Québec

A cluster of white huts with bright-red roofs, Les Galets huddle together on a windblown peninsula; from a distance, they look like a textbook illustration for the concept of lonely isolation. No longer occupied, the buildings were constructed in the late 1800s, when fishers salted and dried their catch here. To get here, follow Allée Les Galets off Rte 138.
