Get your kicks on route 606: Chicago's Bloomingdale Trail launched

Is it the Bloomingdale Trail or The 606? No matter, Chicago’s very own High Line - an elevated walkway constructed on an old abandoned railroad route - opened at the weekend to sunny skies and many smiles. The 2.7-mile path links four major neighbourhoods and is intended to be an ‘alternative transportation corridor’, meaning Chicagoans can now ride bicycles, push buggies, jog or otherwise amble along free from traffic through Logan Square, Bucktown, Humboldt Park and Wicker Park.
