Amman remains the main arrival and departure point for international flights to Jordan.
Queen Alia International Airport Located 35km south of the city. There are two terminals: Terminal 1 is used for most Royal Jordanian flights and Terminal 2 is used by other airlines. The terminals are within easy walking distance, on opposite sides of the airport road. Both terminals have ATMs, foreign-exchange counters, a post office and left-luggage.
The Sariyah Airport Express Bus runs between the airport and the Tabarbour Bus Station (North Bus Station), passing through the 4th, 5th, 6th and 7th Circles en route. Departures are every 30 minutes in both directions between 6.30am and midnight. The trip takes 45 minutes.
If you're flying with Royal Jordanian, its booking office at 7th Circle offers a free transfer between 8.30am and 10pm – you can also check in here and have your bags transferred.
There are branches of Avis, Hertz and other car-rental companies. Those that don’t have an office at the airport will meet you at the airport or otherwise will arrange for you to pick up a car from there.
Airport taxis cost JD18 to JD22 to Amman, JD15 to Madaba and around JD35 to the Dead Sea. Fares are displayed at the rank outside the arrivals terminal.
