Stretching from Windsor Castle almost all the way southwest to Ascot, Windsor Great Park covers just under 8 sq miles and features a lake, walking tracks, a bridleway, gardens and a deer park with 500 free-roaming red deer. Its popular Long Walk is a 2.7-mile jaunt south from King George IV Gate, south of the castle, to the 1831 Copper Horse statue of George III on Snow Hill, the park's highest point. From Windsor, public access is via Park St.
