To celebrate its centennial, Qantas is offering special deals all week including $100 one-way fares from the US to Australia.

The 100th anniversary flight deal kicked off on Monday and will run until Thursday this week. Each day a new route will go on sale at exactly 5pm EST. It's limited to just 100 tickets per day so you'll need to be quick to bag the deal. The one-way economy fares cost $100 each way (includes taxes and fees) and must be purchased as part of a round-trip itinerary from Los Angeles, San Francisco, Dallas-Fort Worth or Chicago. All fares offered in the sale are economy class and not eligible for upgrades either.

Interested? Log on to Qantas' special booking page at 5pm EST when the departure city, destinations and travel dates for that day's deal will be revealed. On Monday, for example, the airline offered 50 seats to Melbourne and 50 seats to Sydney, departing from LAX on 23, 24 February and 1, 2 or 8 March 2020. Tuesday's sale will offer airfares from San Francisco to Melbourne or Brisbane.

It's important to note that the tickets can only be purchased as part of a round-trip. You must book a return flight too. If you're lucky, you're looking at about $200 in total for a trip to Australia, which is exceptionally good value. The airline also released special 'golden tickets' from London Heathrow to Sydney from £205 return. Those deals go on sale at 12pm GMT every day until Thursday, 21 November.

If you miss out on that deal and the $100 offers don't despair, Qantas is offering more reduced fares on its website. As part of its birthday celebrations, tickets to Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane will start at $699 roundtrip in economy from its US gateway airports, as well as sale fares from London to Sydney, Perth and Melbourne from £699 return. Steeper yes but still good value.

All birthday deals can be found here.
