Ready to plan your 2020 rail adventures? Amtrak is offering fares for as low as US$19 (€17) in its Black Friday / Cyber Monday sale, with special discounts available on most routes throughout the country.

Beginning today (29 November) and ending on Monday, 2 December, customers can save up to 35% on select trains nationwide for travel between 9 December and 30 April, 2020 in Amtrak's 'Track Friday Sale'. Sale routes include the California Zephyr, Capitol Limited, Cardinal, City of New Orleans, Coast Starlight and more. Blackout dates apply on 22 and 23 December, as well as 2 and 3 January.

Special offers are also available on additional trains, including the Acela, Northeast Regional and other popular routes between 6 January and 30 April, with no blackout dates.

Sample fares include New York to Philadelphia at $29 (€26); Chicago to New York at $73 (€66); New York to Boston at $39 (€35); Los Angeles to Portland, Oregon at $80 (€72) and New York to Miami at $105 (€95).

The sale is available at Amtrak.com and all prices will be automatically discounted from the standard fare price. No discount code is needed; prices are as shown. The offer is valid for coach and Acela Business Class seats only; no upgrades are permitted. Once purchased, tickets are non-refundable.
