With seven galleries over three floors, an excellent cafe (weekdays only) and a shop brimming with prints and photography books, the refurbished Photographers’ Gallery is London's largest public gallery devoted to photography. It awards the prestigious Deutsche Börse Photography Prize annually, which is of major importance for contemporary photographers; past winners include Richard Billingham, Luc Delahaye, Andreas Gursky, Boris Mikhailov and Juergen Teller. Admission to exhibitions is free before midday.
