Zimbabwe’s national parks and private wildlife ranches with their miombo woodlands and thorny acacia or kopje-studded landscapes, offer great opportunities for wildlife viewing and bird-watching. Animals including antelopes, zebras and giraffes roam the plains and there’s a good chance of seeing at least a few of the Big Five (buffalo, elephant, leopard, lion and rhino). You can spot wildlife from a vehicle, on foot, on horseback, or even on the back of an elephant.
